IMPORTANT NOTICE
With effect from 1 September 2006, the basic minimum wages for Nepalese nationals recruited for employment for all sectors will be as follows:
For General Workers (Manufacturing, Services and Farm Workers)
Basic Minimum Daily wages of RM21.00 X 26 days X 8 hours RM 546.00
+ Monthly Overtime (According to Malaysian Labour Laws) RM .......
Minimum Monthly Wages including Overtime RM 746.00
For Private Security Guards
Basic Monthly salary 26 days X 8 hours RM 950.00
+ Monthly Overtime (According to Malaysian Labour Laws) RM .......
Minimum Monthly salary including overtime RM 1400.00
The above revised minimum basic wages/salary has been introduced to compensate the increase in Government levy, cost of induction course and also the increase in cost of living in Malaysia.
The Embassy hopes that Employers will fully appreciate the above revised conditions and will continue to hire Nepali workers, who are well-known for their hard work, loyalty and discipline.
