Supply of Labour
Nepal has roughly half the land area of Malaysia but has almost an equal population. There is therefore a surplus manpower in the kingdom. The youth population is active and eager to go on foreign employment to supplement their income. The loyalty, hard work and dedication of the Nepalese workers is well-known since early times. A large number of unskilled and semi-skilled workforce is available for work in all posible areas of economic activities.
Nepalese workers have already proved their talents in the manufacturing sector, service industries and in the private security business.

There are around 400 manpower agencies in Nepal involved in the supply of labour. All of them are registered with the Government and their activities are closely monitored and controlled. Once they receive the demands for the manpower from the employers abroad, they do all necessary processing in Nepal and send the required number of workers as stipulated in the demand letters to the needful companies. It is always encouraged that the principal companies themselves put demands directly with the Nepalese manpower agents. The documents pertaining to the demand of manpower can be attested at the Embassy by presenting them in proper format.

Both male and female workers are available for various sectors of the economy. In case of female manpower, however, the following criteria should be met before the demand for female workers can be considered.
 Organized industrial sectors including electronics and electrical, food processing industries, garment
industries
Service industries such as hospitals, four star and above hotels, department stores, Information
Technology
Women friendly working environment with higher ratio of female workers in both working and management
levels
Air-conditioned working place
Separate hostel for female workers
Good track record of female employment.
