 Message from Ambassador!

Welcome to the Birthplace of Lord Buddha and the land of highest peak of the earth called Mount Everest!!!

 

Nepal and Malaysia enjoy excellent bilateral relations based on the foundation of mutual cooperation, history, and culture. There is tremendous goodwill, cooperation and understanding between our two countries. Over the years, the relations between the two friendly countries have grown in depth and diversity and reached a matured stage.

The state of good relations is reflected in the fast-growing bilateral cooperation spanning across a broad range of sectors, such as, economic and technical assistance, trade, tourism and investment, employment of Nepali work force in Malaysia, educational exchange, culture and sports, technology transfer and human resource development.

Nepal & Malaysia have just celebrated the year 2010 as the Golden Jubilee of the establishment of Diplomatic relationships between two countries. We humbly thank every one who had attended the ceremony and helped us to make it a success. We also wish to share the joy of the maturity of excellent relationship.

 

Being members of many international and regional bodies, the two countries share common perception on major regional and international issues and have been working closely in the international arena to promote peace, stability, and development.

 

The establishment of Nepal's residential mission in Kuala Lumpur in June 2003 is a testimony of ever expanding and deepening of bilateral relations between our two countries. We highly appreciate the acknowledgment of the Malaysian government and the people on the sacrifices made by Nepali people during various trying periods of Malaysia.

 

Malaysia has been an attractive destination for Nepali youths for employment. After Nepal was opened as a source country for manpower employment in industries by Malaysia in 2001, increased number of Nepali workers are engaged in various sectors in Malaysia.

 

I take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the people and Government of Malaysia for their courtesies and continued cooperation extended to the Embassy as well as to the Nepali Nationals living in Malaysia.

 

I also would like to call upon my fellow Nepali citizens in Malaysia that we are here for various productive works. I urge all to abide by the law of Malaysia. Let us extend help to those Nepali in need. Let us do everything that enhances the existing excellent relationship between our two friendly countries.

 

The Government of Nepal has declared the year 2011 as Nepal Tourism Year. I would like to call upon all friends and well-wishers to make it a grand success by promoting Nepali Tourism in every way possible.

 

The website contains relevant information about Nepal in relations to investment, tourism, manpower etc. It also contains information on passport and visa processing as well as the services the Embassy provides.
